Independent Beauty Challenge Day #7

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I had such an amazing day! So amazing, that I'm not even gonna try to talk about an insecurity of mine because I just don't care about them at all right now :D

I'm just overwhelmed right now with all the blessings God has given me. I have such great friends and family that truly love me, and I thank God everyday for them. So all of you out there who have been such a great encouragement and blessing to me, thank you! Take these verses from Philemon as ones from me to you that say "I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers, because I hear of your love and of the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints.... For I have derived much joy and comfort from your love..." (verse 5 and 7a).

But even more than that, Christ's love is the ultimate unconditional love. He loves me enough to put all of you in my life. I don't know why, but I am so thankful He did! My sister has put up a Bible verse everyday this month leading up to today that talks about love. I'm going to list them all here and I hope that you will take the time to read them (I'm sure you've heard most of them before) and really just sit in awe of the immense love that God has for each and every one of us.

Mark 12:30 "And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength."

Romans 5:8 "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Psalm 63:3 "Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you."

1 John 3:1a "See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God..."

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

Romans 8:38-39 "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends."

Jeremiah 31:3b "...I have loved you with an everlasting love..."

Isaiah 54:10 " 'For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed.' says the Lord, who has compassion on you."

John 15:12 "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you."

Lamentations 3:22a "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;"

1 Corinthians 13:13 "So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends."

Proverbs 10:12 "Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses."

So whether or not you're spending Valentine's Day with a special someone or celebrating Singles Awareness Day, Jesus loves you. He really, truly, and faithfully loves you! How amazing is that?!
